and dangling what wealth is.
Wouldn’t spare a crumb,
and tithe is getting no percentage.
Decadence across the board
to satisfy all senses.
Self-indulgent;
nothing’s distributed to the masses.
Wealth is guarded
just to multiply and tease the masses.
Gold and silver,
precious stones, gems, and rare materials.
Chariots;
fleets serve as symbols of superior.
All the while,
the thirsty at the bottom beg for drink.
No compassion;
sympathy is lacking for the sick.
Hospitality is not extended to a stranger
unless they have a taste level running in adjacent.
Affiliations and associations by appearances.
Favouritism
shown to those in line with upper measurements.
Discrimination plague
across bottom of the totem
while the ones on top the food chain
gluttonous and merciless.
And so,
the bottom starts plotting on the top.
Despising their authority and envying their stock.
Politely they were knocking,
now the choice is
“Smash the lock!”.
The kettle now whistles
as the boiling point is touched.
What’s coveted is gotten;
all desires gained by force.
Murder will be written if defence is the response.
Ask them the excuse, and bottomline is hunger.

the parliaments try to call the bluffers.
Governments’ and kingdoms’ fingers
hover over buttons.
Equating Texas Hold ‘Em
to a game of mass destruction.
Relations over borders ‘round the world
are going sour.
Nations that refuse
to take a step away from warpath.
Decades overlap
with troops vacating dog-tags.
Civilians transform to killers;
human pawns fooled to think
that death is what can really save them all.
They hardly ever see the shot-callers
on the frontline.
They’re the ones logging in
just to go offline.
Pawns being sacrificed end up just engraved
on marble in the midst of millions all the same.

is a pawn on the battlefield.
