Even scammers keeping motives and plots
behind the curtains.
Even thieves
confiscating cars, clothes, wallets, purses.
Even fiends
sipping, sniffing, shooting,
huffing, puffing, burning.
Even leeches
seeking, draining,
sucking life as living burden.
It’s to shake,
and alert,
and bring clarity to filth.
Yeah,
the law of the Lord
proves the dirty need a dip,
and that Christ is the spring.
